Viper Spit Brands is a small craft hot sauce company based in Northern Chicagoland. We locally produce hot sauces, spicy honeys, and seasonal spice rubs — all made by hand, in small batches, with ingredients we grow ourselves.
It started simple: a covid hobby, a love of peppers, a backyard garden, and a kitchen that always smelled like something was fermenting. What began as gifts for friends turned into a farmers market booth, which turned into a brand that people keep coming back to.
Every bottle of Viper Spit is a reflection of the season it was made in. Our peppers are grown right here in Northern Illinois — no mass-produced ingredients, no artificial anything. When we say "hyper-local," we mean it. We know the dirt our peppers grow in.
Our peppers are grown in Northern Illinois. We pick them ourselves (with a little help from day laborers during harvest season). From garden to bottle, everything stays local.
No preservatives, no artificial colors, no stabilizers. Just peppers, vinegar, fruit, and spices. If you cannot pronounce it, it is not in our sauce.
Every sauce is made in limited runs. When a batch is gone, it is gone. Some flavors come back next season, some do not. That is part of what makes them special.
This is not a factory operation. It is one person with a passion for heat, flavor, and making something real. Every label, every bottle, every recipe — handmade.
